Jamie Foxx is communicating again after he was hospitalized for a "medical emergency" Tuesday morning, a representative said Wednesday.

"His condition was serious enough that Jamie's family, some of whom were not in town, came to the hospital," the representative said. "He is communicating now."

Foxx, 55, is in Atlanta working on the movie "Back in Action" with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close, the representative said.

Foxx's daughter Corinne Foxx said in a statement on Instagram earlier Wednesday that "luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” it concludes.

No additional information on Jamie Foxx’s medical complications was provided. Comments were also restricted on Corinne Foxx’s post.

Those creepy dancing twin girls would also make an appearance. And there'd be a gun. My imaginary emoji recap is appealing because it's incredibly hard to come away from a blockbuster hour of television like "Chapter Forty-Four" and pull together coherent thoughts that aren't just "AHHH!" or "WHY would you get ICE for the DAMN CHAMPAGNE?!" or "OMG FACE OFF MASK!" or "Why isn't all of life just Jane and Rogelio doing that father/daughter dance forever?"
