Shia LaBeouf Is Arrested at Anti-Trump Art Show in New York

Shia LaBeouf, left, at a livestream performance project outside the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, on Tuesday.   Credit The actor and performance artist Shia LaBeouf was arrested early Thursday morning on misdemeanor assault and harassment charges while protesting President Trump at a livestream art installation in Queens. In videos online, Mr. LaBeouf — who has a history of provocative behavior and a record of arrests for minor offenses — expresses outrage, evidently aimed at Mr. Trump, and uses expletive-laden language to ask how the public can make it normal “to be a Nazi out here.” In one video, a small gathering of fellow protesters chants “He will not divide us” as the bearded Mr. LaBeouf speaks. A police officer approaches, and Mr. LaBeouf appears to get into a verbal altercation with him before the officer places him in handcuffs and escorts him out of the camera’s view. How The Today Show Addressed Billy Bush's Recent Suspension This Morning

There's been a lot of election brouhaha over the past several weeks, and this past week,  Today  host Billy Bush was suspended from his duties on the daytime talk show series after footage was released revealing he had made some disparaging comments against women more than a decade ago. This morning,  The Today Show  returned to the schedule. Interestingly, the series chose to barely make note of the Billy Bush scandal, with the hosts only briefly addressing the scandal. Al Roker, who took over for Billy Bush during  Today 's third hour, addressed what happened with the tape from a decade ago that surfaced, noting: As you can see Billy Bush is not joining us today, as you're probably aware, (he was) part of that 2005  Access Hollywood  taping with Donald Trump that's been in the news all weekend. Roker's onscreen partner, Tamron Hall, picked up the slack where Roker left off, also noting that NBC has indefinitely su...

Ben Affleck uncorks NSFW Deflategate rant on Bill Simmons' HBO show

They say time loves a hero, but it's pretty hard to find one in the lengthy saga that is Deflategate, America's least-favorite PSI-related NFL scandal. Maybe it's not too late. The hero we need could be Ben Affleck (he's already playing Batman!), who appeared on Bill Simmons' new HBO show "Any Given Wednesday" and went off on an absolute tirade against the NFL over Deflategate. Simmons basically mentioned the "D" word, asking Affleck if it was the "ultimate Boston sports story," and it completely set off Affleck into this Boston-accent heavy, f-bomb-filled rant. There are several points where Simmons tries to jump in and Affleck basically isn't having it. Affleck started off the rant ripping the NFL for punishing Brady the same sort of length a MLB player would get for steroids (and then veered into the NFL's steroid policy) before pointing out getting in trouble for what your friends do and giving up your cell phone ...

Euro 2016: Cristiano Ronaldo puts on a show of strength, on and off the pitch

Against Hungary Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to score at four consecutive Euros and a recorded 17th appearance at the tournament Photograph: Robert Ghement/EPA O ne microphone in a lake, one rescue act, two European Championship records and one press conference that showed where the balance of power lies between himself and Uefa; another day in the life of Cristiano Ronaldo. Or, as the man himself put it when asked about becoming the first player to score at four consecutive Euros and a record 17th appearance at the tournament: “That comes naturally.” State-of-mind stories gained credence when footage emerged of Ronaldo taking a television reporter’s microphone and throwing it into a lake during the team’s pre-match stroll in Lyon. Moody or not, his reaction against Bernd Storck’s emerging team was outstanding as he spared Portugal the ignominy of an early exit with two goals and one assist. Hungary were equally impressive, and the ease with which they tr...
