OSCAR PISTORIUS ACCUSED OF DISRESPECTING THE COURT & REEVA STEENKAMP

PRETORIA - The State has accused  convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius  of disrespecting the court and  Reeva Steenkamp , for not testifying during sentencing proceedings, but instead giving an interview to a British television station. The case has been postponed until next month after the prosecution and defence concluded closing arguments yesterday.  It emerged last week that Pistorius has given an exclusive interview to ITV , in which he apparently discusses the night he murdered his girlfriend.  State prosecutor Gerrie Nel says the trial court and Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) found that Pistorius did not provide a credible version of what led to him opening fire on the night he killed Steenkamp. Johnny Manziel appears in court for domestic violence case

Johnny Manziel made his first court appearance in front of judge Thursday morning after being indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge. Manziel's charge is a Class A misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine in Dallas. The judge told Manziel that he could have no contact - no calls, no texts, no emails, no letters, no visits - with Colleen Crowley, Manziel's ex-girlfriend who has alleged that Manziel struck her during an incident in January.
