The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the Portland area through afternoon with snow falling again to the valley floor. Temperatures will hover around 32 degrees and another system will deliver more moisture into the area through 1 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.
Snow totals have been very impressive with some areas accumulating more than a foot of snow.
By Wednesday night, a high pressure system will move over the area and leave us with clear skies and dry weather through Friday. But temperatures are expected to remain at or below freezing limiting any melting of the snow layer already in place. Yay.
Wednesday's high temperature is forecast for 32 degrees; the low will be 23. By Thursday and Friday temps are only expected to reach the upper 20s and lows will be in the teens. Expect non-cleared sidewalks and roads to become very slick and remain that way through the end of the week.
