Looking for more Orlando Bloom nudity? Then try his little-seen 2013 thriller Zulu

Right now, it’s quite difficult to avoid running into a naked Orlando Bloom. Nude pictures of the actor – standing upright on a paddleboard behind girlfriend Katy Perry –have been splashed across the front page of the Daily Star and the website of the New York Daily News, and our social media feeds are consequently awash with them.
Thankfully – does poor Bloom really want us all gawping at his privates? – those publishing the images have at least opted for some form of pixilation or, in the case of the Daily Star, a strategically placed emoji.
Despite his apparent enthusiasm for getting an even tan line while enjoying Italian beaches, the actor has been relatively conservative when it comes to stripping off on camera (creepy long-lense paparazzi cameras don’t count). He shot to fame as long-locked elf Legolas in sexless epic The Lord of The Rings, before moving on to the kid-friendly Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
True, he made his big-screen debut as a rent boy in 1997’s Wilde –but, sadly, the role didn’t require any full-frontal naked romping with star Stephen Fry. His love scenes in 2004’s Troy, in which he played Paris, attracted plenty of media attention but ultimately didn't reveal all that much (especially when compared to co-stars Brad Pitt and, in the directors cut, Diane Krueger).

In 2013, however, the actor did appear fully naked in a film called Zulu, which never received a proper UK or US cinema release (although it is now available on DVD).
Directed by Jérôme Salle, Zulu is a gritty South Africa-set crime drama in which Bloom’s character Ali, a police chief tortured by past horrors, must investigate a frightening series of drug-fuelled murders. Undeterred by this grim synopsis, most of the press surrounding the film focused on the fact that in one scene – in which Ali awakes to hear an intruder in his home – Bloom is completely nude. Fans were promised “the full Orlando”…and the full Orlando was duly delivered.
Bloom revealed that, during filming for Zulu, he spent seven days on set wearing just “a cock sock”  to protect his modesty.
“I got in the best shape of my life for that movie,” the actor told Elle Magazine.
“It was quite amusing walking around set and seeing the crew avert their eyes at first. Then there were a few more people watching playback. I got so comfortable with it I could brush up behind someone and go, ‘Oh, excuse me.’”
Asked if he found the experience empowering, Bloom said: “It was. Dude, it is what it is. It's flesh and bone. It's what we all are.”

Elsewhere, the star revealed that, while he was promised a closed set while filming, enforcing this could be surprisingly difficult. (He also revealed that, since fathering a son, his preferred word for his private parts is “jangles” or “jingle jangles”.)
“You think ‘I’m going to be super embarrassed. I’m walking around with my jangles out’” the star told US talk show host Conan, in a 2013 interview.
“It’s supposed to be a closed set and yet my dialect coach – this wonderful woman – is sitting at the monitor. I’m like ‘I get out of bed; I don’t say anything’. She says ‘eh, you never know. You might decide you want to say a few words…’”.
The scene itself,  in case you don’t fancy watching the full movie,  is available exclusively on, erm, the Daily Star.
We can attest that, while claims of “full-frontal” exposure are a bit of an exaggeration, Bloom is indeed very naked in it.

Jane the Virgin Season Finale Recap: The Wedding of Jane Gloriana Villanueva

Ivonne Coll as Alba, Gina Rodriquez as Jane, Andrea Navedo as Xo. If I could write this whole recap with emojis, there'd be several varieties of hearts, the running man, the dancing woman, and lots and lots of fires and heart-eyed faces. Those creepy dancing twin girls would also make an appearance. And there'd be a gun. My imaginary emoji recap is appealing because it's incredibly hard to come away from a blockbuster hour of television like "Chapter Forty-Four" and pull together coherent thoughts that aren't just "AHHH!" or "WHY would you get ICE for the DAMN CHAMPAGNE?!" or "OMG FACE OFF MASK!" or "Why isn't all of life just Jane and Rogelio doing that father/daughter dance forever?" But I'll give it a try. Jane the Virgin 's season finale is a narrative fireworks display, a shock-and-awe storytelling spectacular that short-circuits emotional processing centers with blazing confidence. It drops j...

Game of Thrones recap: season 6, episode 9, Battle of the Bastards review: Jon and Sansa's bitter spat and Ramsay's brutal sacrifice

Game of Thrones season 6, episode 9, Battle of the Bastards   CREDIT:  HBO   O h now, that was VERY impressive. And by “impressive” we mean gruelling, cathartic and upsetting. By the end of the Battle of the Bastards and the Jon Snow v Ramsay Bolton showdown over Winterfell   we felt as if we’d crawled through a freezing quagmire, climbed a wall of cadavers and gasped for breath as a dozen dying men sat on our faces .  Which, oddly enough, is exactly what befell Jon as the grumpy saviour negotiated the grandest mass battle Game of Thrones has yet mounted for our enjoyment/terror/disgust Tormund Giantsbane in Game of Thrones season 6, episode 9, Battle of the Bastards A  cast of hundreds, a budget of millions, flayed men roasting on an open fire – season four’s penultimate episode had it all. Yet spectacle took a backseat to gut-punch drama as poor, sweet Rickon met his untimely demise and questions were raise...
