Steam Summer Sale is here - prepare your wallets


Did you get paid yet? Well it's time to spend some of that hard earned dough on Steam's Summer Picnic Sale. It has just kicked off and runs until the 4th of July, 2016.

Flash sales aren't around again (which we're ok with) and as usual there are a few highlighted deals which will refresh every day. The selection for day 1 is pretty low key, including the likes of Stardew Valley, Dardest Dungion and 20 percent of The Banner Saga 2 - which just debuted a new free Survival Mode. Also you can get This War of Mine for less than a fiver, so that's a good place to start.

You get trading cards this time for wandering through your discovery queue and while we're sure they're somehow worth something after several years of these sales we've yet to find any real benefit.

Digging a little deeper there are gems to be found. The brand new Doom is down to 36 quid, which is the same price as Grand Theft Auto V - yes it makes no sense. Dying Light and it's expansion is going for 25 and you can get Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Mirror's Edge and Dishonored for under a fiver.

Ten Things I Wish I Knew When I Started 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided'

Photo: Eidos Deus Ex: Mankind Divided  is finally out today, an early embargo revealing pretty solid reviews, including my own 8/10 good-not-great score. I love the series, but I just wanted the sequel to evolve a little more than it did. With that said, what it does carry over from  Human Revolution  is welcome, and I enjoyed my time with the game overall. Bitcoin value falls off cliff after $77M stolen in Hong Kong exchange hack

Many investors holding BTC sell holdings in wake of Bitfinex hack. The value of bitcoins plummeted 20 percent after almost 120,000 units of the digital currency were stolen from Bitfinex, a major Bitcoin exchange. The Hong Kong-based exchange said it had discovered a security breach late Tuesday and has suspended all transactions. Bitfinex added that it was working with law enforcement to investigate the theft and planned to resume operations despite the hack.“We are investigating the breach to determine what happened, but we know that some of our users have had their Bitcoins stolen. We are undertaking a review to determine which users have been affected by the breach. While we conduct this initial investigation and secure our environment, bitfinex.com will be taken down and the maintenance page will be left up,” said the company on its website.
