It’s thought all of those infected with the shocking virus have recently travelled back from working or holidaying overseas. Symptoms of the virus are mild in adults, but can be devastating in babies In the most recent cases, a hospital trust said three patients had been treated for the vicious virus in Yorkshire. Though their condition is unknown, the infection is considered to be mild and most sufferers do not require hospital treatment. A San Diego police officer was fatally shot and another was injured at a traffic stop late on Thursday, police said on Friday, and a wounded suspect was taken into custody. The officers, members of the department's gang suppression unit, were shot shortly after making a traffic stop at about 11 p.m. PDT (0600 GMT) in Southcrest, a neighborhood in southeast San Diego, Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman said at a news conference. "I'm extremely heartbroken to report that we had an officer shot and killed," Zimmerman said. The second officer underwent surgery and is expected to survive, police said. Both were shot in the upper torso, Zimmerman said. She said one suspect, who also was shot, had been taken into custody after he was found in a nearby ravine and was being treated at a hospital. There are only three rounds of major championship golf left in 2016 as the PGA Championship heads into the second round on Friday. It's been a thrilling year for the major championships with a combination of great finishes and big names heavily involved in each.
