San Diego police say officer fatally shot, another wounded

A San Diego police officer was fatally shot and another was injured at a traffic stop late on Thursday, police said on Friday, and a wounded suspect was taken into custody.
The officers, members of the department's gang suppression unit, were shot shortly after making a traffic stop at about 11 p.m. PDT (0600 GMT) in Southcrest, a neighborhood in southeast San Diego, Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman said at a news conference.
"I'm extremely heartbroken to report that we had an officer shot and killed," Zimmerman said.
The second officer underwent surgery and is expected to survive, police said. Both were shot in the upper torso, Zimmerman said.
She said one suspect, who also was shot, had been taken into custody after he was found in a nearby ravine and was being treated at a hospital. Officers searched the area for additional suspects.
Further details on the shooting were not immediately provided. Zimmerman said another news conference would be held later on Friday.
The incident comes as police departments across the United States are on high alert in the wake of fatal ambushes in Dallas and Baton Rouge earlier this month that left eight police officers dead.
Police have also faced continuing criticism from protesters across the country over numerous high-profile police killings of unarmed black people over the past two years.
Demonstrations have been fueled most recently by videotaped killings of two black men in Baton Rouge and near St. Paul, Minnesota earlier this month.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has vowed to be tough on crime, commented on the San Diego shooting on Twitter, saying, "It is only getting worse. People want LAW AND ORDER!"

Frank Ocean new album: How to listen and stream Boys Don’t Cry when it drops

After two missed release dates a year apart and a confusing decoy of a “live stream” video, Frank Ocean is set to finally release his second album,  Boys Don’t Cry , on Friday 5 August. It will be launched through an exclusive deal with Apple Music, according to the  New York Times , who cite a ‘person with knowledge of the release plans’. If indeed this is the case (and it would make sense, that live stream has an Apple watermark), it means you’ll need to sign up for Apple Music to listen to the  Channel Orange  follow-up, which costs £9.99 a month (£4.99 for students through Apple’s UNiDAYS promotion). You might want to turn off auto-renewal off though (Apple Music app > profile icon > View Apple ID. > Subscriptions > Manage > switch Auto-Renewal off), if you’re the kind of person who, like me, is liable to forget that you’ve signed up for the service indefinitely. A surprised and emotional Celine thanked her fans, family, children, and "most importantly," her late husband  René Angélil , "who I know will continue to watch over me from above." Celine added, "René, this one's for you. The show must go on." Celine then made her way backstage to do interviews, but paused to watch  Madonna  and  Stevie Wonder 's tribute to  Prince .
