Donald Trump Took a Break from Exploding the Political World to Watch His Daughter Tiffany Graduate

Donald Trump switched hats this weekend, setting aside the Make America Great variety for something a little more academical. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee took a break from torching the political establishment and dodging a barrage of critiques and shifted into full-on proud-dad mode, as his youngest daughter, Tiffany, graduated from his alma mater.
While a maelstrom of crazy swirled around Trump the Candidate—who spent the last few days deflecting questions about impersonating a press representative, his tax returns, and his treatment of women—Trump the Dad was, as ever, your typical (billionaire) father, reveling in his daughter’s milestone.
A whole Trump crew descended on Philadelphia to watch Tiffany get her diploma from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts & Science. Tiffany herself, ever the millennial, posted a collage of snapshots from the celebration on Instagram, posing with her grinning father; her stepsister,Ivanka; her mother, Marla Maples; and stepmother Melania(separately, of course) and a family shot that featured her younger stepbrother, Barron, in a suit.
The family, too, took to social media to express their pride in Tiffany’s Ivy League accomplishment. Ivanka smooched her perfectly beach-waved blow-out in an Instagram tribute.
It seems as though the family had a whole day of fun leading up to Sunday evening’s pomp and circumstance. Marla posted a photo with her daughter outside the nearby Trump Golf Club, thanking her ex-husband’s facility for a “special pre-graduation time with family and friends.”

Marla, who once described herself as a single mother raising Tiffany away from the Trump circus in New York after their contentious divorce, also posted an update of the traffic en route to campus, her car seemingly surrounded by a fleet of black S.U.V.s, and a sweet photo of a pink-clad, towheaded nearly three-year-old Tiffany on her first day of school in Palm Beach. “Remember this moment & all the moments that brought us to now,” she wistfully captioned the snapshot.
A ring of federal agents and bomb-sniffing dogs circled Penn’s Franklin Field as the Trump family arrived for the ceremony. Well, the security detail was not just for Trump. Vice President Joe Biden was also in attendance to watch his granddaughter Naomi pick up her diploma. According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Trump was greeted by applause from those seated in his section. When Biden walked in a few minutes later, “the entire stadium erupted in cheering and waving.” The two sat in adjacent sections, Trump seated next to a black sunglasses-wearing Melania, with Barron and Ivanka in between them and his ex-wife.
It could have been a moment ripe for political opportunity. Would the men go out of their way to snub each other? Would they erupt into a Hamilton-style rap battle about the Constitution? Would Trump compare the beauty of his two wives and two daughters he had with him to the Biden women? But the men behaved less like political foes and more like, well, embarrassing family members frantically waving at their young relatives onstage.

When the time came, CNN producer Noah Gray tweeted that Biden rushed the stage to hug his granddaughter as her name was called. The Trump family got up and left just before.

Frank Ocean new album: How to listen and stream Boys Don’t Cry when it drops

After two missed release dates a year apart and a confusing decoy of a “live stream” video, Frank Ocean is set to finally release his second album,  Boys Don’t Cry , on Friday 5 August. It will be launched through an exclusive deal with Apple Music, according to the  New York Times , who cite a ‘person with knowledge of the release plans’. If indeed this is the case (and it would make sense, that live stream has an Apple watermark), it means you’ll need to sign up for Apple Music to listen to the  Channel Orange  follow-up, which costs £9.99 a month (£4.99 for students through Apple’s UNiDAYS promotion). You might want to turn off auto-renewal off though (Apple Music app > profile icon > View Apple ID. > Subscriptions > Manage > switch Auto-Renewal off), if you’re the kind of person who, like me, is liable to forget that you’ve signed up for the service indefinitely.
